The Benedict Center’s Annual Women and Justice Luncheon is going virtual on September 22, 2021 and we invite you to sponsor this impactful fundraising event!

Over the past 47 years, the Benedict Center has been at the forefront of providing treatment, support and advocacy for women as an alternative to incarceration. We help women navigate a way out of the maze of the criminal justice system toward a life of recovery, healing and hope. We also advocate for a more equitable justice system including support for public health approaches to substance use, mental illness and trauma instead of criminalization

That’s why we are excited to announce that Susan Burton, a leader in criminal justice reform, founder of A New Way of Life, and outspoken voice to end mass incarceration will be our inspirational guest speaker. Her memoir, Becoming Ms. Burton: From Prison to Recovery to Leading the Fight for Incarcerated Women, is a testament to the complex issues that women involved in the criminal justice system face. This will be a powerful conversation that focuses on the issues and innovative solutions.
