Help us link arms with women in the Milwaukee community who are struggling. Please remind them that they are not alone.

The Benedict Center provides a critical life line for women, not only to connect to much needed treatment, but to create safety plans, find housing and secure other basic needs.

Your support will have a direct and immediate impact on women who are part of our community by providing:

  • In-person counseling sessions and telehealth group therapy and classes as an alternative to incarceration;
  • Street outreach for women in the street sex trade, including sex trafficking, as a starting point to safer lives;
  • Reentry support for women released from jail and prison as they restart their lives.

And you’ll have the joy of knowing your donation is put to work, immediately changing lives --- like Tina and her children.

Tina reached out to the Sisters Program. She urgently needed shelter because she was fleeing from her sex trafficker. She needed to keep her three children together and safe, and she was asking for help with counseling and employment.

Our advocates provided Tina with a cell phone and emergency shelter for her and the children, and began assisting her with longer-term solutions like housing and resuming social security disability benefits.

Just as important, staff provided her with emotional support and encouragement that she was not alone, that we would be there for her as she bravely moves toward a safer, happier life.

Make your gift today, to create opportunity and hope for someone struggling with mental illness, addiction, and homelessness and show them they are connected to a community that cares.
